Energy Sub-metering

Requirements

The global reach of Dexdyne’s technology now includes Nigeria with the recent implementation of a project in the Energy Sub-metering sector to a multinational energy consultant. 
This project involves monitoring over 20 power meters, geographically dispersed over a large site, with the aim of logging each meter’s maximum power consumption over one-minute intervals in order to profile peak demand.  The acquired  data is sent to a central server where it is analysed and processed to show the peak power demand for each area of the site.  

Knowing when peak demand occurs means that existing generator capacity can be used more effectively, leading to a reduction in the site’s peak power demand.  This helps to reduce requirements for additional generating capacity and thus saves a significant amount of money from the plant’s capital expenditure budget.
